Carole and I liked the idea of living in a continuing education environment. We became aware of communities that had relationships with nearby colleges where residents could attend classes without pressure or cost. The only problem was that most of these communities were out of state and we wanted to stay in Rochester. Then we heard about the Rivers Run community and its affiliation with RIT. It didn’t take us long to decide that this would be our new home. That was in 2006. Since then we have made many new friends and continue to enjoy our beautiful cottage in the lovely Rivers Run community. - Howard M., HOA President
We downsized from our home in Rush and... had looked at a lot of communities around Monroe County. Rivers Run always came to the top of the list…centrally located (close to everything but still with a rural feel), an active HOA with helpful and friendly neighbors, social and physical activities on-site or near-by, and pet friendly. - Sue and Larry R.
I moved to Rivers Run from Long Island almost three years ago. This house was just waiting for me. So lucky to have great community of friends here. There's always a hello, smile, and help when you need it.

The tranquility of the Genesee river, the charm of cottage architecture, the congeniality of the neighbors and the many activities to choose from all keep
you active and young at heart.

I came to Rivers Run for many reasons: I can take advantage of RIT and OSHER classes, residents here make a caring community, I can have my pets. I love the generous-size rooms in the floor plan, and I can have my own flower garden. I’ve lived here for ten years and couldn’t be happier with my choice. - Wanda F.
